[Responsibilities of This Position] To achieve this mission, you will develop machine learning algorithms that solve domain challenges. In addition to developing machine learning technologies for next-generation mobility, you will also work with leaders to identify technical challenges and develop plans for their resolution. [Specific Job Description] - Developing algorithms to process various sensor data - Researching, implementing, and conducting evaluation experiments on domain issues - Researching and implementing research papers, and developing and implementing original methods - Optimizing and optimizing machine learning models to run on edge devices - Documenting and summarizing the above processes with slides - Model design, experiment management, compiling evaluation results, and organizing next actions [Technology Stack] Language: Python Framework: PyTorch Source Code Management: GitHub Information Sharing Tools: Slack, Google Workspace, Notion Other: Docker, Linux, computer cluster, Raspberry Pi [Development-Release Environment] - Utilizing servers for machine learning model development - Depending on the project, optimizing models for execution on the in-vehicle computer (ECU) and deploying them to Raspberry Pi and Jetson [Hiring Background/Challenges] We are a startup company with the technical capabilities to build edge AI from the inside out, as well as the ability to collaborate with industry leaders and develop our own products. We are also collaborating with global automotive parts suppliers on contract work such as the development of edge AI cameras and the research and development of algorithms (external world recognition, motion planning, etc.) to be used in next-generation automobiles. In addition to the projects we have undertaken so far, we are looking to hire someone who can utilize their knowledge of machine learning to autonomously identify technical issues and see them through to the creation of results. |
| Requirement | Required: - Master's degree in a science or engineering field or equivalent experience - Knowledge and at least two years of practical experience applying machine learning techniques, particularly deep learning, to one or more real-world data sets, such as images, point clouds, or audio (graduate research experience may be included) - Ability to implement various deep learning and machine learning methods from scratch - Ability to communicate in Japanese through documentation and text Preferred: - PhD in a science or engineering field - Domain application experience of machine learning techniques - Team development experience, including code review and task management - Knowledge and skills in image processing, computer vision, and computer graphics - Experience managing efficient experiments using computer clusters - Raspberry Experience developing edge devices such as Pi - Native Japanese or Japanese proficiency equivalent to N1 or above Desired candidate: - Ability to independently identify and solve technical issues - Ability to work backwards from the goal and develop plans before taking action - Curious and enjoy learning new things, even in areas unfamiliar with the company - Ability to document information accurately and efficiently as a tool for sharing information and building consensus - Ability to communicate professionally both internally and externally |
