| Job Description | You will be responsible for the firmware part of the autonomous water operation, within software engineering area of the company's autonomous and distributed water treatment and reclamation system product. In specific, you will be in charge of some of the following tasks: - Software development for various controls on embedded microcontrollers - Firmware development for newly developed sensor devices, including real-time OS and OS-less firmware - Requirements definition, technology selection, and system architecture design related to the above - Development environment preparation, including CI/CD and automated testing - Bottleneck investigation and performance tuning - Firmware development in C for controller boards including UART, I2C, SPI, and 4-20mA interfaces - - - - - Japan's water supply system, built with construction costs of over 100 trillion yen since the period of rapid economic growth, boasts some of the highest quality in the world and a 98% coverage rate. However, behind this, Japan continues to suffer from a chronic fiscal deficit, and the combined burden of an accelerating population decline and rising costs of replacing aging equipment will further worsen its financial situation. Establishing sustainable financing for water infrastructure is an urgent issue we face in order to ensure a prosperous life without water scarcity for future generations. | Requirement | [Required] - Experience with embedded software (Linux, RTOS) - Development experience in multiple languages: C, C++, and Python [Preferred] - Cloud knowledge (AWS is a plus) - Understanding of various communication methods and protocols, such as TCP, BLE, and MQTT - Security knowledge and electronic circuit design experience [Soft skills] - Able to think independently and act independently - Able to always work with a sense of purpose - Able to collaborate with members from diverse backgrounds - Interested in non-electronics fields - Able to dream about new products that combine hardware and software |
