Company | An AMR startup founded by a former automotive AD tech lead. Owns products such as autonomous transport robot that can switch between AGV mode on trajectory and autonomous mode without pre-defined trajectory, general purpose towing solution for 3rd party trolleys, and fleet management system. Since the product's release in 2022, sales have been steadily increasing. - Established: March 2020 - Workforces: approx. 50 - Capital: JPY 100M |
Job Description | The company is seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and development of autonomous mobile robots and their accessories, from conceptualization to production. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers to bring innovative robotic solutions to life. Key Responsibilities: - Conceptual Design: Assess the problem and conceptualize new products that comply with the business requirements as well as the electronics and software constraints. This can comprise the design of an integrated system, including mechanical structures as well as selection of relevant sensors and actuators. - Prototyping: Build and test prototypes to validate design concepts and refine product functionality. - Design for Manufacturing: Optimize designs for manufacturability, ensuring cost-effective and efficient production processes. Release mechanical drawings with adequate GD&T. - Design for Assembly: Optimize designs to simplify the assembly and minimize the risk of assembly mistakes on the production line. - Production: Release BoM/BoQ and coordinate with our manufacturing team to ensure smooth production. Collaborate with our manufacturers to ensure quality and align with their manufacturing capabilities, as necessary. - Technical Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software engineers, QA/QC engineers and manufacturing teams, to deliver integrated robotic solutions. - Documentation: Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports to support the design and manufacturing process. |
