Job Description | We're strengthening our team of FPGA engineers to support the expansion of our Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) business, a field that will grow significantly with the advent of 5G and beyond. We are looking for passionate individuals who are ready to take on the challenge of building a satellite-based communication infrastructure to help solve global societal issues. Join us and make a difference. - Design and Development: -- Design, develop, and implement modem/demodulation, telemetry, and command processing functions for satellite communication equipment using FPGAs. -- Develop coding/decoding functions, high-speed signal processing, and data transmission capabilities. -- Lead the design and evaluation of boards where FPGAs will be implemented. -- Review and provide feedback on FPGA designs developed in-house. - Testing and Collaboration: -- Lead the design and execution of various tests for developed communication equipment. -- Collaborate with satellite system engineers on interface design and verification testing for communication equipment. -- Work with ground network specialists to design operational procedures and network management system interfaces. - Operational and External Support: -- Provide operational support to the operations team. -- Coordinate with external organizations and vendors. |
Requirement | [Mandatory Requirements] - Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (e.g., Physics). - Practical experience in circuit design for microcontrollers or FPGAs and their peripheral circuits, including power supplies and digital/analog interfaces. - Over five years of experience in FPGA logic design using HDLs and IDEs, with the ability to create test benches. - Experience in designing and verifying high-speed SerDes interfaces. - Experience in designing digital signal processing with FPGAs. - The ability to design and lead various types of tests. - Fundamental knowledge and experience using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and stabilized power supplies. - Business-level or higher proficiency in Japanese or English. [Favorable Skills/Experiences] - A minimum of three years of experience in embedded hardware development. - Experience with negotiating with external contractors and suppliers, including defining specifications, cost negotiations, and managing delivery schedules. - A solid understanding of computer systems, especially embedded systems, or practical experience in this field. - Experience in schematic and PCB design. - Experience in designing FPGA systems using processor IP cores or SoC-type FPGAs. - Knowledge of embedded software development using C or C++. - Experience with FPGA and software development using Git. - Knowledge of command-line tools and scripting languages like Python. - Knowledge of real-time system development based on RTOS (e.g., FreeRTOS, vxWorks, uCLinux). - Proficiency with configuration management tools. - The ability to set up software build environments. |
