Job Description | [Clients] Our current primary clients are infrastructure developers and construction companies, including power plants and other facilities. Until now, quality has been ensured through labor-intensive methods, but the decline in the workforce and work style reforms have made digital transformation (DX) an urgent priority. We work with digital transformation specialists and on-site personnel from various companies and deploy the solutions developed there to other companies. [Business Areas] The domestic market for social and industrial infrastructure maintenance is estimated to be worth ¥5 trillion, and we are working on solutions that will fundamentally improve the shortcomings of this vast market. While digital transformation has made progress in deskwork to date, there is still a white space for on-site non-desk tasks, such as infrastructure work, which still rely on paperwork and expert judgment, and we believe there is significant room for improvement. Currently, we focus on equipment inspections, site management, and security surveillance, with plans to expand in the future. [Recruitment Background] We are currently working on robot development-related projects, including joint research and development with clients. We are looking for an engineer to lead robot development, including the development of common functions that form the foundation of the project. [Overall Team Duties] Robotics/3D Team - In the field of industrial infrastructure digital transformation, we work on the design and development of services and products for equipment inspection, disaster prevention, and security surveillance. We handle a wide range of development, from solutions that combine robotics and software to hardware-agnostic product development. [About the Team] You will be part of the Robotics Group, which includes four robotics engineers and two product managers. You will also have opportunities to collaborate with web engineers (30) and AI engineers (8) to develop projects and products. [Job Description] You will understand our mission and business strategy, and collaborate with other internal departments and external partners to develop and operate products and services. Your project will involve software development for robots, including UGVs and drones. Depending on your experience and preferences, you will be responsible for robot control technology or the image recognition and analysis technology required for autonomous control. While software development will be the primary focus, experience in hardware development will also enhance your versatility. - Robot control system development using ROS1/ROS2 - Autonomous control system development using sensors such as LiDAR and stereo cameras Most projects last between 3 and 12 months, utilizing a variety of technologies (AI, robotics, IoT, etc.) to solve on-site challenges. |
Requirement | [Required] - 3+ years of experience as a lead engineer/project leader at a business owner / product owner company. - Possess any of the following skills: a) Robot control development skills using ROS b) Autonomous control development skills using sensors such as LiDAR, cameras, IMUs, radars, and GNSS - Business-level or above Japanese (all internal communication, documentation, and customer support will be conducted in Japanese) [Preferred] - Experience developing autonomous mobile robots (regardless of form), including hardware and software - 3+ years' C++ development experience - Development experience using Nav2 - Business-level English skill |
