Job Description	The successful candidate will be working alongside a team of other Remote Sensing Engineers to develop image processing software that delivers to customers a high quality Earth Observation product set. The candidate will also be collaborating and consulting with hardware engineers throughout the process of planning and designing future missions in order to ensure high standards are maintained on launching a science-grade mission. Job Responsibilities: - On-ground and on-orbit Radiometric and Geometric Calibration & Validation - Ensuring that Remote Sensing best practices are maintained - Investigating potential improvements to data quality - Consulting with mission engineers on mission design requirements - Simulating the output of missions yet to be launched
Requirement	[ Mandatory Requirements ] - 3+ years of experience in Remote Sensing, image processing or sensor development - Ability to communicate in English about technical topics - Proficiency in using Python to automate image-processing tasks - One of the following language skills: a) Fluent in Japanese and have basic English conversation skills b) Fluent in English and have basic Japanese conversation skills [ Favorable Skills / Experiences ] - Familiarity working with geospatial imagery from Earth Observation satellites - Experience performing radiometric calibration and geometric correction on Earth Observation data - Experience in project management - Comfortable working in a Linux environment and using Docker - Experience working on a previous Earth Observation mission
